Dear Members and Friends,

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerard Weidlich, President of CIRIS, on May 27, 2007 at his home in France due to a stroke.

We offer our sincerest condolences to his wife Pierrette, to his children and to the rest of his family.

Gerard left a huge impact on those around him, and in particular, in the heart of the association that he lead for many years with much conviction, energy and generosity.  A dedicated individual, he took the time throughout his suffering to publish the newest edition of the magazine, Dialogue. Mrs. Karine Aiguillon, acting Vice President, has assumed the presidency of the association. She addressed CIRIS members with encouraging words.

All are invited to the annual picnic Sunday, September 2, 2007 in Saintes, France. It will be a wonderful occasion to honor the memory of Gerard, who loved this great day of friendship and renewal. Among others, Mrs. Pierrette Weidlich, Mrs. Monique Beljanski, her daughter Sylvie and her husband, Mr. Kevin MacCarthy will be present.
